School Exchange Marocco/Germany

Since 2021, there has been a cooperation between Margarethe-von-Witzleben Schule in Berlin and campus vivant'e in Ait Bouguemez, Morocco. The first school encounter will involve ten students from class 9G (aged 14-17) visiting the campus in Morocco from 12.04.24 to 21.04.2024. This meeting will be organized and conducted in collaboration with the Department of Sign Language Pedagogy and Audio Pedagogy and overseen by Fabienne Schwartz.

The aims of this cooperation and school encounter include:

  • Facilitating intercultural exchange between students and teachers through both remote and in-person interactions in a South-North context.
  • Enhancing the students' proficiency in spoken, written, and sign languages (including German, French, English, DGS and LSM).
  • Promoting the capacity of teachers and interpreters at both school institutions in areas such as multilingual-bimodal education, team teaching and methods of collaborative learning for students using spoken and sign languages.
  • Strengthening the cooperation and promoting knowledge transfer between university and schools.
